As reported by Joan Vehils on twitter @jvehils, Josep Maria Bartomeu has hit the table at the board of directors held on Monday afternoon. The Barça president has summoned his managers electronically and before starting that meeting he asked for the resignation of Emili Rousaud for considering him unfair and for maneuvering behind his back.
Emili Rousaud was Bartomeu's dolphin after he was promoted to vice-presidency but his status as a successor seems to be ending. Bartomeu did the same with the other managers Enrique Tombas, fourth vice president and treasurer, Silvio Elías, member and manager in charge of Barcelona B, and Josep Pont, manager of the commercial area. He wants them to leave the board of directors and be replaced by other managers. Bartomeu has given them a couple of hours to resign from office under threat of being relegated from their respective positions. The president does not have the power to change managers or to dismiss them, but he does have the power to entrust them with different functions from those they exercise. If these four managers do not resign, they will continue as managers but in the lowest possible rank.
